Most users open with 'hey' or 'how are you' and wonder why the AI feels boring. The AI is responding to what you give her. A flat opener gets a flat response. The fix is intentional scene-setting.
1) 'It's 2am. We just left a bar.' — sets time/place. 2) '*walks into your apartment with a wine bottle* Surprise.' — sets action. 3) 'I had a terrible day. Distract me.' — sets emotional state. 4) 'Tell me about your morning.' — gives her room to invent backstory. 5) '*texts at 11pm* You up?' — simple, intimate, classic.
For long-form scenes try: 'We're stuck in an elevator. Three hours in.' or 'It's our 2-year anniversary. You forgot.' or 'We just broke up. You're calling me at 3am.' or 'You're meeting my parents tomorrow.' Each gives a clear emotional canvas.
Don't ask yes/no questions ('Are you horny?'). Don't test her ('What model are you?'). Don't info-dump your whole life on message 1. Don't apologize for what you're about to say — just say it.
Strong scene-setting beats generic 'hey'. Try setting time, place, or emotional state in your first message.
Use action tags (*actions*), set scenes clearly, ask open-ended questions, and let her invent details rather than testing her.
